To Grandmother's House!

Just this weekend we celebrated my Grandmother's birthday. I couldn't get this gigantic video to send, so I'm posting it here so my parents can get to it:

Happy Birthday Grandma!!:)

More Life Drawing

Thought I'd give you guys some more tidbits from my life drawing class. I still don't have my entire sketchbook with me and my kitchen counter is currently covered in cupcakes, so here are the ones I remembered to snap a photo of while I was still at the art building.

In case you haven't noticed, my favorite thing about our model is her hair. It's extremely fun to try and draw.
Yes, I know. Only two. I'm sorry. I'll try to get more Thursday. And I'll fix the first one as well.
On the other hand, I have reccently been challenged by one of my friends to put up my webcomic sometime this month. Well, it wasn't much of a challenge as much of a "STOPSTALLINGANDGETYOURD@%#COMICUPALREADY."
So taking her advice, I'm hoping to have it up soon. SOON.
I'm excited.
You should be too. :)

This is what I've been up to

Sup?
It's been a while, huh? Sorry about that. I really thought that I'd keep up with this thing, but I lied. Again. So in apology, here's a puppy.
Commence vomiting rainbows and butterflies.

On the school end, I just got through Drawing I and moving on to other art classes. I don't have my large drawing pad with me unfortunately, so all I can share with you from that experience is a white conte composition we did with the cow skulls. If it's one thing a still life needs it's a cow skull. Seriously, those things are absolutely terrific to draw.

All for the sake of still life.
Sorry about the quality of my photo. I can't take pictures at all.
Right now I am taking Life Drawing I and I have to say...I. LOVE. IT. This class is the most fun I've ever had since high school. It's simply amazing and my professor is just about the greatest guy you can have for this course. We've only had one model for now since class started, but so far my prayer has been answered, and that was that our model isn't someone I know. Thank you Jesus. I really can't imagine going to work or class and saying, "So......saw you naked last class."
My more recent drawings are in my art locker as well so I can only treat you with one of my drawings. It was the first day we drew from the model. I was very happy with the results:

Again, I apologize for the crappy quality for my photos. I do wish I could push my value scale more because that's a thing I really need to work on with graphite. Pen and ink, no problem, but pencil gets a little harder for me. I don't know why. I love pencils!
I'll be posting some more of my classwork when I get a hold of it again. It'll be soon! I promise!
